Rick Izant, Greg Poe, and Ed Curtis took a tour of the path at The Commons. Water is coming off the Pavilion during rain and makes a river of water, draining under the playground. Installation of cream or dark brown gutters was suggested – 66’/per each long sides of the pavilion. 5” gutter with big downspouts towards rt. 306. French drain in front of pavilion. Estimate cost $1,000.00. Once the water is diverted, sand can be placed in the playground.
Board discussion on the upper soccer field swale – install a French drain 400 ft long, with pipe and gravel to ease the drainage erosion. The water runoff eats out the path. Jason Abate suggests 2 berms be placed in that spot to aim the water towards the Church.
Water deflection berm needed by the new bath to the playground. Estimate cost of 325.00
Ed Curtis stated we need to look at the most reasonable way to deter the erosion and divert water the best we can.
Baseball diamond – has blocked pipes. A ditch is needed from 306 to the top parking lot; then from the middle parking lot to the baseball diamond. Can use the ditch dirt to fill in holes at the park. Estimate cost 1,800.00.
Rick Izant motioned to encumber $7,000.00 for the Drainage/path renovation; for all drain work and gutters. Mick Benitez Santana seconded. Vote was taken: Mick, yes; Ed, yes; Frank, yes; John, yes; Rick, yes; and Linda, yes. All in favor, motion carried. It can’t be too wet to ditch. We will have to see how the spring weather is.
2 new soccer nets have been purchased: 1 regular net and 1 junior net.
Jason Abate has laminated and posted the Commons sight map.
Website – Mick Benitez Santana said it is current; has been updated.
Path and Pavilion Signs – Willowleaf has started sign drawings. We would like to receive them by the summer.
Information is needed from The Eagle Scout on his project of the tree signage along the path.
