Rec Council and Soccer Club are done. Adult Rec Council weekend tournament October 29. Leave nets up on the upper field till then.
John Gromek and Jason Abate – Maintenance
Jason has blown leaves and will aerate the soccer field after October 29. Baths are not painted; too cold now. Will do next year. Jason Abate has received many compliments from park visitors; they love the paved path and asked if we could pave to the bathrooms.
Rick Izant explained he had a conversation with Kelly from the Baseball Federation and received a quote for field preparation. Possibly meet with our board this fall to discuss, instead of waiting until the spring. Rick received information from the Cleveland Guardians on their grant program sent to many area recreation groups. John Gromek will check with the groundskeeper at Cleveland State and with Joe Weiss in Chester Township to discuss information.
Sarah Sustin visited Russell Township office and talked with the secretary there. Information stated that property evaluations are being done in the County. Possible increases across the board for all next year. The secretary’s son played basketball regularly at The Commons and really appreciates all our Board is doing at the Park.
Board discussion on the status of our current website for the park. Many updates have to be made immediately as there is very old information on the site. All information has to be current on our website. Chris Domonkos offered to work with Frank Formicelli to accomplish this.
